about

Muster is the improvising duo of James O'Sullivan (South London) and Dan Powell (Brighton). Having first worked together as part of the eight musicians who performed for twelve hours as The Long Half Day, they formed Muster accidentally on 2nd November 2016 in the Catford Constitutional Club. Their first album "Find a City to Live In" was released on Invisible City in 2019.

_am_ was recorded partly before, and during, the Covid-19 pandemic. The first three pieces are the product of a distance collaboration during lockdown with each submitting an improvised track which the other digested over successive listens before recording a response.
The final piece was recorded live at Horse Music Improv Club at IKLECTIK, London on 11th June 2019.
